Small screen beauty Urvashi Dholakia who became the household name after donning the character of Komolika in the most popular TV soap, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The show, which got aired on Star Plus during 2001, was a big hit. People loved her acting as the baddie in the TV serial. After that, her fans started calling her Komolika and there was no looking back for her.
In spite of her popularity, she rejected 15 shows after winning the biggest TV reality show, Bigg Boss 6 in the year 2013. She disclosed that she took a break for 2 long years from the TV industry to spend time with her sons Kshitij and Sagar.
Urvashi during a meeting stated, “I took a two-year break after Bigg Boss 6 as I wanted to be with my boys in their late teens. I wanted to give them time. I rejected 15 shows in this period, but most of them weren’t good. I wanted them to turn 21 and then return to work. I am content in the space I am in right now.” Also, she has been a single mom to her children from her very early age.
In a media chat, she made the revelation that she got disheartened with her verdict of sending her boys to boarding school as she was not able to spend time with them. But, this pause of 2 years after winning BB6 made her spend time with them.
She stated, “I did not see them grow but I am happy that I gave them time when they were back. I had to restart my work after a point and then I did Bigg Boss and that was the only time I was away from them. Then, I took a conscious decision of not wanting to work. I decided I have to see them grow because I couldn’t see them grow during their childhood.”
The actress is a big fan of TikTok videos as she keeps on sharing fun-filled and cool videos with her sons.
